Below you will find Specs on my car . I had planed to build it into a Nitro Race car and a show car . It is the fastest car I have ever owned you will be going 70 and it feels like 50.(the spedo say's 150 mph I've seen it very close to that !)It weighs only 2,200 lb with all wheel drive and the big Yamaha type engine 2.9 Liter has been a screemer. If you are looking for a unique car to show or race this is the one . It was made by Ford so ther are many upgrades available for what ever direction you go . Merkur Scorpio Manufacturer: Ford Motor Company/Germany Production: 1989 Class: Executive car Body style: 5-door hatchback Engine: 2.9 L 12v V6 The Ford Scorpio is an executive car produced by the Ford Motor Company at its factory in Cologne, Germany between 1985 and 1989. Known within Ford by its codename DE-1. It was awarded the European Car of the Year in 1986. Engineering-wise, the Scorpio was heavily based on the Sierra, sitting on a stretched version of its floorpan, and using a similar styling philosophy set by both the Sierra and the V6 Cologne engine in 2.9 L displacements. By 1989, all former engines had been dropped, with an 8-valve DOHC engine replacing the 2.0 L model. The Scorpio was intended as a luxurious car , so features such as leather upholstery, electrically adjustable seats, heated windscreen and all wheel drive all made their first appearance on a European Ford. The car was very comfortable and has excellent rear legroom. The biggest advance of the Scorpio was that it was the first mass-market European car to have anti-lock braking system standard across the whole range.
